THE PUNTY
WHAT IS A PUNTY?
A PUNT HAS TWO MEANINGS. IT MOST COMMONLY REFERS TO THE SOLID ROD USED TO PICK UP GLASS.
HOWEVER, IN THIS CASE THE PUNTY IS A SMALL AMOUNT OF GLASS GATHERED AT THE END OF A PUNTY ROD USED TO TRANSFER OR TURN AROUND YOUR GLASS PIECES. TRANSFERRING YOUR PIECES ALLOWS YOU TO WORK ON THEM FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES. PUNTIES ARE MADE IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES AND CAN BE MADE ON BLOW PIPES AS WELL. THIS IS THE BASIC AND MOST COMMONLY USED VERSION OF THE PUNTY.
